How We Work

Our Process

Five clear steps, one point of contact, and no surprises along the way.

From First Call to Final Walkthrough

What to Expect

Consultation

We meet at your property to talk through goals, priorities and budget, take measurements and photos, and flag anything that could affect scope — at no cost to you.

Typically within one week of your inquiry

Design & Estimate

We develop the plan with you (and your architect or designer, if you have one) and prepare a detailed, line-item estimate with allowances, a payment schedule and a projected timeline.

1 – 3 weeks depending on project size

Permits & Pre-Construction

Once the contract is signed, we pull permits, order long-lead materials, schedule trades and introduce your dedicated project manager.

2 – 6 weeks depending on jurisdiction

Construction

Work begins on the agreed start date. You receive weekly written updates with photos, and any change you request is priced and approved in writing before it is built.

Schedule set in your contract

Walkthrough & Warranty

We walk the finished project together, complete every punch-list item, and hand over warranties, manuals and care instructions. Then we check back in at 30 days and one year.

Backed by a 5-year workmanship warranty

Good Questions

Frequently Asked

Do you charge for estimates?

No. The initial consultation and estimate are free. For larger projects that need drawings or engineering before they can be priced, we offer a paid pre-construction agreement that is credited toward the build.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Sphere Construction, INC is a licensed general contractor and carries general liability and workers' compensation coverage. Certificates are available on request.

Can we live in the house during a renovation?

In most cases, yes. We set up dust barriers, protect floors, keep a tidy site and plan utility shut-offs in advance so the disruption is as small as possible.

How are payments structured?

Payments are tied to milestones laid out in your contract — for example, deposit, rough-in complete, finishes installed and final walkthrough — so you only pay for work as it is completed.

Do you help with insurance claims for roof damage?

We do. We document the damage, meet with your adjuster on site and provide the detailed scope your insurer needs to process the claim.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. Contact us to discuss your project and inquire about our financing options.

What if we want to change something mid-project?

Changes happen. We price every change order in writing, show how it affects the schedule, and only proceed once you have approved it.
